Sunshine Cup Cancelled
Dear Players, Fans, Referees, Volunteers, and our extended Florida Sunshine Cup Family,
We appreciate everyone who attended our call last week and gave feedback in our exit surveys regarding FSC XI. The FSC committee met tonight and discussed the feedback received, along with other factors, and the possibility of hosting the tournament in February 2021 amid the current pandemic.
With a full local board vote along with contributing committee members, a unanimous 13-0 decision was made to cancel FSC XI in February 2021.
I would like to personally say thank you to all the committee members for their hard work and dedication. The undertaking of creating a very comprehensive safety plan in this current climate was very challenging, and I am very proud of the work that was put into it. To everyone reading this, I would like to tell you that the Sunshine Cup is in good hands, with very caring and bright people.
This is not goodbye, but rather a pause, until we can safely meet again. Stay safe out there and hope to see everyone out on the fields soon.
If anyone has any questions or comments, I am an open book at [email protected]
Gary Schrader Jr. (Biscuit)
